So either the scale is messing with me, or I've hit upon a formula.... eat like a pig at lunch, and have a salad for dinner - in other words, do like everyone always says and have most of your calories before 6pm. Whatever, perhaps it was sitting around in my new compression bra all morning waiting to go for a run that failed.
